1948 Panel Van Woodie

Occasionally, a resto-rod comes along with the mystique of this 1948 Ford wagon named "THE DARK SHADOW"! This modified Ford woodie has all the flash, modern safety features and reliability that owners want in a modified woodie wagon. It features a full frame off restoration, some time ago, but still shows like new. The restoration added a Mustang II front suspension with rack and pinion power steering and disc brakes. The engine is a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet engine with a new 4 barrel carburetor. The transmission is a 700R4 overdrive and ending in a Ford 9" rear-end with freeway gears. The wood is new with many coats of marine spar varnish that compliments the deep, deep, jet black paint, applied over a flawless metal body. The interior sports a dark shaded, Dakota Digital

If you’ve ever seen one of these in real life, you’ll know they are a work of art, a collectors item and beyond that a great piece of craftsmanship. The detail in this carving is amazing, down to the interior in which the steering wheel is so rla to life, you’d wish you were miniature and could drive it. Back ground painted by Jeff McGrath
